"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Get back to me

Dear One
Compliments of the season !!
I am Miss Joy johnson from Monrovia,Liberia presently residence in Ivory Coast
In short I did not mean to bother but this is very urgent hence I had to contact you.
In a nutshell my late father was a Gold & Diamond merchant based in Monrovia,Liberia but unfortunately my father was assassinated by forces loyal to Mr Charles Taylor whom is presently facing trial at the International Court of Justice in Hague.
Before the death of my father,he has already deposited $5.500.000.00(Five Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) in a bank account here in Abidjan,Ivory Coast
I actually need your immediate support to receive this fund in your account and invest it in your country because I am afraid of the political instability of Ivory Coast and West Africa in general
Please I would offer you 20% of the total sum of when the fund is confirmed in your account for you only need to forward a bank account for the onward transfer of this fund to your account
You should reply me as soon as possible so that we can start the transfer process of the Five Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars to your nominated account.
Thanks and stay blessed
Best Regards
Joy Johnson
