"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Cry For Help

Dearest one,

I am Mrs Monica Usman from Egypt. I was married to Mr Ahmad Usman who was a
contractor with the government of Albania before he died in the year 2001
after few days in the hospital. The doctor said his death was as a result of
poisoning. We were married for so many years without a child. Before his
death we were both devouted moslems. Since his death I decided not to
remarry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the holy Koran is
against. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $8 Million
with a Bank in Spain. Presently this money is still in the custody of the
Bank.

Recently, my Doctor told me that it is very likely i will die within the 2
months due to cancer problem. Having known my condition I decided to donate
this fund to a Cheritable Organization or good person that will utilize this
money the way I am going to instruct herein. I want anorganization or good
person that will use this fund for orphanages, widows and other people that
need help and in propagating the Gospel of Allah and to endeavor that the
house of Allah is maintained.

l took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this
money and myhusband relatives are infidels not even good at all because they
are the one that was responsible for the death of my husband in other to
have all my late husband's property and I don't want my husband's efforts to
be used by Those that conspired for his death,i don't want them to know
about this development. This is why I am taking this decision. Though it was
very painful to hear this kind of news from my doctor but I am not afraid of
death because I know where I am going. I don't think there is need for any
telephone communication on this regard because of my health but the
important thing to me is for you to do what i will require you to do.As soon
as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Bank in Spain.

I will also issue a letter of authorization to the bank that will prove you
the present beneficiary of this money. I also want you, or the organization
to always pray for me because Allah is my helper. Delay in your reply will
give me room in sourcing another good person, or organization for this same
purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I Stated herein.
Hoping to receive your response immediately.

Thanks and Allah blessings to you.

Mrs Monica Usman
