"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Bamali

Attn: Sir,
I write to passionately appeal for your urgent assistance.

I am Master Shehu Nuhu Bamali, son of late General Nuhu Bamali, who died in the ill-fated Dornier 288 plane crash on Sunday 17th of September 2006 which also claimed the life's of 13 other military personnel on their way to Obudu Ranch for a meeting.

Before his death, my father served as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) and Aide Camp, (ADC) to the former military president Ibrahim Babangida, he also held various military posting including his recent position as the G.O.C (General officer commanding the II Mechanised Division, Ibadan) before the ill-fated flight. Part of our joy today is that he and his colleague's where given a full military burial at the National Military Cemetery Karamajiji, Abuja, this he had always wish for at death.
Now the burial has come and gone, as the eldest son I had just been briefed by my late fathers attorney about a top secret which reveals that my late father deposited huge amount in United States Dollars in my name with a bank in my country which must be transferred as quickly as possible for some reasons, the attorney will explain better.
What I urgently need from you is to help process these funds into a foreign account with the assistance of my father's attorney whom I have mandated to assist you with full details.
Below are reports of the crash.
