"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Hewitt,

I have the document which my late Father used to deposite the fund with
royal bank of scotland, which is the DEPOSITE CERTIFICATE, the certificate
is the Evidence that shows to every one that my late father is the owner of
the fund, I believe this is the only document the bank may ask from us. but
i can not post this deposite certificate to you, my reason is that i do not
have money with me here to post the document to you. but i can only send it
to you as attachement, and when you confirm the fund in your account i will
come to your country with the original copy.

Meanwhile, i have applied to the royal bank of scotland with your
informations to transfer the fund to you as the new beneficiary. so the bank
may contact you any time from now as soon as they approve my application for
the transfer. please any time your recieve massage or call from the bank let
me know so that i will direct you on what to do to avoid mistake at this
stage.

Remain Blessed,
