"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My Dear Fenster,

I am fine and i hope you are doing well too?
sequel to your last mail, i want you to understand that this is not some kind of LOTTERY or ANY AWARD whatsoever.

The fund belongs to my late client-Mr Scott and if not claimed will be confisticated and my late client happen to be a foreigner and i have tried all ways to reach any surviving relative which has proved abortive.this is why i have contacted you to help me transfer this fund acting as the next of kin to my late client.

This is risk free as you will have no problems with the authorities since all the papers will be procured here in my country.

European taxes has nothing to do with this so, don't mis-interprete this ok.

I will like you to furnish me with the information below to help me file you to the bank as the bonafide next of kin to my late client. As the entire transaction will not take more than seven working days to be concluded. The only fear i have is to be re-assured that at the end of this transaction that i will get my share.

1, Your full name and address.
2. Your place and date of birth.
3. Your occupation.
4. Your direct telephone/fax number.

All I require is your honest co-operation to enable us see this deal through. I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law.

I will await your soonest reply.

Best Regards,

Mr.Tom Phils

How are things with you?

Not long ago I for some reason started to have more really vivid dreams about coins and gemstones dropping over my bed. And then I suddenly obtained a nice little Vespa bike in a charity draw. And next I read your message. Is it not strange? I trust that I have not told you about this before and am not tiring you once again but I just found it so unbelievable.

I am regrettably still unsure and I am not aware how I had been picked for this award.

Please do give me some kind advice about an issue that is making me unsure, what about European government taxes?

I urgently expect your answer.

Hr Fenster
