"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Frau Thai,

Thank you for your mail. Thank you so much for opening up to me and
sincerely telling me the position of things with you. I am sorry for the
late response. I was back in hospital but I am very well now!

I read your mail with great interest and realized that you are a charming
lady( although the I.d you sent me didn’t come through) but from your mail,
I could feel the warmth and friendship and I a happy that you are my partner
in this. I received your details and I have given them to the lawyer to
start the necessary documentation and he has assured me that by Monday next
week, we should have them. As soon as I receive them from him, I will send
you copies for your records by email attachment. The reason for this is
because the originals are needed to be supplied to my bank when we lay our
formal application for payment to you as the next of kin. Again, our postal
system here is undependable, mails get stolen ad diverted so I would not
want such delicate documents to get into the wrong hands, and I hope you
understand. All you need to do is print them out if you have a printer and
you can keep them for your records.

Well, I love parties and meeting people although I will not consider myself
very social because of the nature of my job, but when I can at weekends, I
always go out to have a good time. I like a fast car with the roof down to
feel wind on your face and hair. It is fun! When I am home, I watch
television, documentaries, discovery and national geographic channels,
comedies and a few nice movies. Well, not so much habits for a guy like me
but I guess, you will find out more when we meet after this business.

I did not supply you a telephone number. I will endeavor to call you because
my tel.lines are official lines routed through the general switchboard in
the office and my official residence I don’t want any nosy clerk
eavesdropping on our conversation. I will call you so we can talk. One more
thing, I have a master degree in finance and management. I specialize in
wealth creation (not having much myself, life is funny). Take care my friend
and can I call you leopoldo now?

Sincerely,
Pascal.

p/s: please resend the photo.Thanks
