"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Compliments,

I am Mr. Bruno Amadi, head of the remitance department of
EcoBank Plc; Head office here in Benin.

Recently, We discovered a dormant account with Four Million,
Six Hundred Thousand United State Dollars ($4.6USD) And this
money belong to one of our numerous customers MR. DUCKSON
FRITZ who died in a plane crash in NOVEMBER 1996.

We discovered after investigation that MR. DUCKSON FRITZ
died along with his family and since his unfortunate
departure nobody has come forth to put claims to the said
fund.

The Banking Law here Stipulates that if such fund remains
unclaim for nine years, It will be forfited to the state as
unclaimed treasuries.

Regarding the aforsaid, I have decided to contact you to
come and stand as the next of kin to the LATE MR. DUCKSON
FRITZ, our late customer to pull out this fund and move
abroad. And upon the sucessful transfer of the fund to your
country, I will give you 35% of the total sum.

I will send you the procedures and way forward to the
immidiate claim on recept of your response and note that I
have all necessary informtion that will actualise your claim
as the next of kin to the LATE MR. DUCKSON FRITZ.
