"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Lorenz,

I received your mail and also noted your detail information..

I have started the necessary documentation to get the legal documents needed
in your name. This may take about 3-4 days to get the legal documents and
then get it submitted to the bank for release and transfer of the fund to
your bank account. Once the documents are obtained, I will send you copies
as proof and for record purposes.

Meanwhile, you should scan and send to me the first page of your
international passport or national identity document because I need it to
be attached to one of the applications that will be filled in your name for
submission to the High court. The first page of the passport is needed since
you will not be here in person.

Kindly send a copy of the first page of the passport today so that I attach
it to the application which I intend to submit to the High Court immediately

Waiting for your urgent mail. In case of any urgent clarification, you can
call me on my line: +27 73 028 6645.

Thanks

David Bret
