"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: A New Development.

My Dear Sir,

Its been a while and up till now you have suddenly decided to cease communication with me. Irrespective of the fact that I have sent you series of reminders but you have bluntly refused to acknowledge my mail.

Anyway, I want to attribute your silence to the fact that you have to travel to Spain to redeem my consignment. The delay is causing me a lot of heartache. Please I do not want you to back out on this. It is beginning to have an adverse effect on my person. The reason for this mail is that I have concluded that you are unable to travel to Spain for reasons best known to you. I have spoken with the management of the freight company and they have agreed to transport the consignment from Spain immediately I am ready to give that instruction.

They have asked me to supply them with the details of the new destination. Please, I have decided to transport this consignment from Spain to you in your Country. Although, I am very sceptical about this and the fact that it might be difficult for me to travel to meet with you in your Country. I do not have a choice. A little is better than nothing.

I am asking if you will receive the consignment in your Country. They are not delivering directly to your home but the freight agents will contact you as soon as the consignment is delivered to their terminals. My diplomat friend will travel with the consignment so as to use his diplomatic immunity for the clearance of the consignment on arrival.

Be rest assured that he is capable to clear this consignment and deliver to you in person. Please I need your names, address and telephone numbers to facilitate this development so I send you the bill of lading prior to departure.

My regards,
Faysal Ibrahim
