"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am Mr.Shawn Douglas, A director with Nigeria liquified natura gas(NLNG).
I have a total sum of Ten million U.S dollars which i want to transfer
to a foreign account for safe keep and investment.
The money accrued as a result of over invoicing during the
construction of the second phase of the NLNG plant at bonny- port
harcourt.
However, as a civil servant in Nigeria,we are not allowed to have
foreign bank account.
I will offer you thirty percent of the total money if you can produce a
bank account where this fund will be transfered.
It may interest you to know that late last year, our group executed a similar
transaction of this nature with an Osaka-Japan,based muti millionare
business woman-Mrs Konami Yamamoto, when the money was eventually
transfered into her account in Japan she surprisingly seized the whole
money without sending my own share.Hence, due to this past traumatic
experience,i decided to contact you.
Please if you are willing to assist me in this transaction,i will like
you to exhibit honesty and trasparency.
Due to strict confidential reasons you are required to reply this
letter by indicating your interest through e-mailing me.
shawndirectmail10@yahoo.co.uk
you are also required to state your personal e-mail address and
phone number i your reply.
Thanks. Yours Truly,
Shawn Douglas.
