"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: INQUIRY

Dear Friend,

Greetings to you. It's obvious you may find this mail
unobtrusive and
strange but I can assure you it's only for mutual
benefit. Permit me to
introduce myself; my name is Mr.charles Nile.
personal assistance to
Mrs. Joyce Arygbe. CEO Ghana Chamber of Mines.
Straight to my motive of writing you. At the end of the sales of the
last Gold mine sold to the Republic Ireland Government, we declare
(Nine hundred and fifty thousand five hundred dollars) $950,500 out of
the (Two hundred and ninety five Million Five hundred thousand United
States Dollars) $295,500,000 to be paid to our mining foreign partners
which never exist. We already settle our mining foreign partners
immediately upon completion of the contract from our company purse,
which of course is not up to the amount we declared to the Government
for the job well executed and our foreign partner must not know about
the amount we declared to the Government for the job they executed.
We've just been informed by the Republic Ireland Government that the
payment is ready and the Ghanaian Ministry of Finance has approve our
claim and has giving us the go ahead to provide our mining partners
banking information and name to enable the Bank of Ireland issue a
draft in the tone of the ($950,500) to our digging contractor. In view
of this development, we solicit your cooperation to present you as our
mining foreign partner to receive the money on our behalf and you will
be compensated with 20% of the total fund as issued in the draft of
payment.

I wait your immediate response

Warmest regards,
Mr.charles Nile
Ghana Chamber of Mines.
