"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

I am quite aware that this letter will come to you as a surprise,
considering the fact that we have not meteach other in the past.
Nevertheless, i wish to introduce myself to you and to let you know that i
got your contact through a search of my country's chamber
of commerce world wide web list.

I am Mr. Rev.Tony Anthony, Chairman, West African Clearing House, Accra
Ghana. Our company is a security company with speciality in financial and
valuable items.

I the cause of my job, i discovered a transaction which has been unattended
to for the past 12 years which was even prior to my emergent as the
chairman. As a result, i have carried out a thorough investigation and as
such discovered that this(Two Hundred Million Dollars) $200,000,000 was
deposited by a Zairean politician whose name i will disclose to you in due
cause.

In summary though, the depositor of the fund had died in the hands of
political opponents through the aid of assasins. The reason why i want you
to get involved in this issue is based on the fact that i need a forigner
who will work with me in getting this fund cleared. I will arrange and
change the entire documents relating to the transaction in your name using
my power as the chairman of the Company ( West African Clearing House.)

For further clarification, the West African Clearing House, Accra (WACH), is
a subsidiary of the
International Commercial Bank, Accra. As such all funds brought directely to
West African Clearing
House, Accra are recieved by us as fund brought in for safe keeping and not
fund deposited by an account holder. On the other hand, account holders do
open an account directely with International Commercial Bank and operate
such as a bank account.

On our own part as a security company and a subsidiary of International
Commercial Bank (ICB), we equally lodge any amount deposited with us by any
of our customer to ICB Bank, but not as an account which the person can
operate rather as an ESCROW ACCOUNT which can only be cleared by the owner
through WACH.

It is the responsibility of WACH to forward the owners release order to ICB
for release of the fund. As it stands now, i am the only person who can say
who the owner of the fund in question is.

I wish you could partner with me to make this transaction a success. Your
declaration of interest
will lead to our discussing other issues relating to this such as what
percentage goes to you and so on.

If you accept my offer you can contact me immediately via my personal email
address anthony_wach@excite.com

Thanks for your understanding and positive gesture.

Sincerely,
Rev.Tony Anthony.
