"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,

With due respect, trust and humility, I write this letter to you seeking your help and assistance,  I am Mr.MAX MANGENA,The first son of MR PHILIP MANGENA,a wealthy business man,who was recently murdered in the land dispute in Zimbabwe which i have no doubt you may be aware if you listen to either BBC or CNN. Some documented pictures of this incident, you can view at

http://www.cnn.com/2001/WORLD/africa/08/12/violence.zimbabwe/
http://www.guardian.co.uk/zimbabwe/article/0,2763,562148,00.html

I got your contact through network online hence decided to write to you for a business proposal that will benefit both of us. Before the death of my father, he had taken me to Johannesburg to deposit the sum of US $10.5(TEN MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS) in one of the Private Security Companies as if he foresaw the looming danger in Zimbabwe. This money was deposited in a box as gemstones to avoid much demurrage from the Security Company. This amount was meant for the purchase of new machines, chemicals for the farms and establishment of new farm in Swaziland.
This land problem came when Zimbabwean President Mr. Robert Mugabe introduced a new land act reform, which wholly affected the rich white farmers and some few black farmers. This resulted in the killing and mob action of Zimbabwean war veterans and some lunatics in the society. In fact a lot of people were killed because of this land reform act of which my father was one of the victims.
They murdered my lovely dad at about 10.45am in our white coloured E Class Mercedeze Benz and born our houses. My father left out with one wife,Mrs Tsindi Mangena,i Mr Max Mangena and my two lovely sisters Naliso and Nornsa. We all flew the country with tears to South Africa where my father deposited with a Security Company in ( South Africa the sum of (US$10.5 M}{Ten Million Five hundred thousand United States Dollars Only}as precious stones and family valuables. This money he intended for 2002 politics and the opening of the new hectares of farm land in Shiselweni Village near Umbuluzi in Swaziland which my father negosiated to buy with the help of the Swaziland Monarch King Suboza Mswati (lll) as well as buying tractors for the newly site which my father had made all the enquries from NEW LONDON TRACTOR & EQUIPMENT . ROUTE.

It is against this background that my family and I are currently in South Africa and decided to transfer my father’s money to a foreign country since the law of South Africa prohibits refugees from opening any bank account or to be involved in any financial transaction throughout the territorial zones of Southern Africa.
As the eldest son of my father, I am saddled with responsibility of seeking a genuine foreign account where this money could be transferred into without the knowledge of my government who are bent on taking everything. All I seek for is an honest businessman or woman, whom I can entrust my future and that of my family; I must also let you know that this transaction is 100% risk free. If you accept to assist us, we will embark without further delay on the next step for the transfer of this money out of South Africa based on the arrangements I have made so far.
This money I intend to use for my investment and growth in your country. I have two options for you; firstly, you can choose to have certain percentage of the money for nominating your account for this transaction. Or you can go into partnership with me for the proper profitable investment of the money in your country. Whichever options you want feel free to notify me. I have also mapped out 5% of this money for all kinds of expenses we might incur in the process of this transaction. If you do not prefer a partnership, I am willing to give 25% of the money while the remaining 70% will remain for my family and I. If you are really capable and willing to assist me please email me with email address above or call me with above telephone number. While reply please, i need your private telephone number and fax number for an easy and effective communication with your full name /address.

Finally, please treat this matter as urgent as possible. I am daring need to leave this country since I cannot invest the amount here in South Africa due to their restrictions on Asylum Seekers. But if on the contrary you cannot assist, please keep my having contacted you confidential.Thank you in anticipation of your kind understanding and immediate response.

BEST REGARDS,
Mr.MAX MANGENA
