"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello Dear,

Hello Dear,
I am miss Mary Obiajulme, i am a young girl of 21 years old, i am from freetown sierra leone in west africa, i am currently living in abidjan coted'ivoire also in west africa, i am the only daughter of my parents, my parents were killed during the war in my country sierra leone, now i am orphan and like a refugee here in abidjan coted'ivoire. my late father was a well known business man in my country, also a former director of sierra leonan tin & copper company . before my father was killed he told me being the only child he has, that he kept a trunk box that contains the sum of $2.000.000 (two million united states dollars) in a security company here in abidjan, to be an inheritance for me , incase if he weren't around or any emergency. according to my father he said that the secrity company does not know that the box is containing the fund, that he registered the box as containing our family valuables. he gaved me the documents for the claim of the box.
Dear, I have succeded in locating the security company here in abidjan where the box was deposited and i have given them every proof of my claim, which the director have already confirmed for me. now the director of the company said that they can't give me the box because my late father had an agreement with them that the box will be ship to my foriegn partner's destination abroad, of which i can remember that before my father died he told me that whenever i went for the claim of the box that i should first of all look for a friend abroad who will help me to invest the sum overseas as i am too young to handle that kind of sum myself.
Dear, it was on this note that i decided to contact you to help me contact the security company and discuss with them on how this box could be successfully delivered to your home /office address after when the box is delivered to you, i will give you a code that you will use to open the box and send me some money down here so i can use it to secure my traveling papers for coming to start a new life over there in your country to stop suffering here in a refugee camp. also will like to invest my inheritance sum in your country.
Please if you are willing to help me write me back here so i can give you more informations on how we can do this.
I am willing to offer you the 10% of the total sum for your help to me.
