"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello Sir,

My name is Mr. Edward Mensah my purpose of writing is to seek your immediate assistance to help me conclude an urgent business. I have a
consignment I shipped to the europe in the name of Mr. Brown Smith name my
business partner. The consignment has been in europe since four months ago due
to the fact that the delivery company could not locate him or his
address which he gave before I shipped it to him. Hence I now ask you to
urgently contact the security company in Europe receive the consignment for me.
The contents inside the consignments which I shipped to Mr.Brown Smith are containing some cash and a 100kg Gold Dust Alluvial.

Please I urgently need you to assist me retrieve the consignment from
the delivery company on my behalf since the security company could no
longer locate Mr. Brown Smith and I can not return it back here in
Ghana because I needed him to save the cash money for me, also sale the
gold dust alluvial as we had agreed earlier to keep the money which I
will need for my political ambition which am contesting as The next
Republic of Ghana presidential candidate come 2008.This is an avenue for me
to raise my campaign money. I hope you will understand my present
situation now and I would request you to assist and hoping to continue a
future business relationship with in this same regards. Do get back to me
through my private email.
