"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Please note that you will be required to settle the cost of transfer for the transfer of your winnings because the total amount has been insured to the real value and as such cannot be deducted from. This is in accordance with section 13(1)(n) of the national gambling act as adopted in 1993 and amended on 3RD July 1996 by the constitutional assembly. I know you might have lost some charges in this process, but the requirements that are asked of you are for you own security which has been paid for on your behalf. This is to make the transfer of your winnings to you quicker and easier. We are talking a rather whooping sum of money here, of which you won just a part off. And keeping it safe is big problem. So you will be required to settle the cost of transfer for the transfer of your winnings because the total amount has been insured to the real value and as such cannot be deducted from. It is the law enacted to protect winners and to avoid double claiming and
misappropriation of funds.

You must also present to the bank, your IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS Which is your REFERENCE NUMBER: UK/839030X2/14 as the subject of any correspondence with the HSBC BANK to ensure they respond in a timely manner. HSBC BANK LONDON will require this before they will proceed to authenticate your funds.

I will require a concise update on proceedings with the bank as soon as you make contact with them. If you need any assistance whatsoever, please do not hesitate to let me know.
We look forward to a smooth business transaction with you.
Your welfare is our concern!

Warm Regards,
Barr Tim Sanders
