"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: My dear. beloved.

My dear,
How are you today and your family? Please, I would like to introduce myself to you first. My name is Florence Attan from Repulic of Benin, wife of late Mr. Edward Attan (former Consulate of Benin in France),I have recently been daigonosed of cancer of the pelvics. I am writing from my sick bed. I decided to contact you after praying over the situation.

It is unfortunate that I and my husband have no child who would inherit our money. Before my husband died, he instructed that I should make sure that that I use this money to establish a humanitarian center for taking care of the less privilaged in the society. The reason for this is to have our name imortalised andremembered when we pass away.
But unfornately I could no longer handle this project due to my ill-heath condition. I therefore write to seek for your help in fulfilling my late husband's wish on condition that you will use the money as he instructed so that his soul will rest in peace.

The above is just to breif you of my intention of contacting you. When I receive your interest to help me , I will give you further information.

Hoping to hear from you soonest.
Yours Sincerely sister,
Mrs.Florence Attan.
