"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: ATTENTION MR. Mart ;

"PAUL & PAUL CHAMBERS"
LEGAL PRACTITIONERS AND SOLICITORS,
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM:
Tel: +44702-4081946
5th Dec, 2006.

ATTENTION DEAR MR. Mart ;

This is a request letter from the "PAUL & PAUL
CHAMBERS, LONDON" to ascertain your interest and
capability in co-operating with me Barrister Paul
Martins Esq. and the Bank Director (DR. HUMPHREY
OBASIKI) in actualizing and repatriation of funds to
your country.

I write to solicit your utmost confidence, knowing too
well that we have neither known nor met each other
before, but because you are a foreigner who originally
bears this same last name " Mart" and I suppose, with
genuine businness mind.
It might interest you to know that Late
Mr. Floyd H. Mart , died in West-Africa where he
abandoned a 12Months
Calendar Fixed deposit of Fifteen Million United
States Dollars (USD $ 15,000,000.00), without a
specified next of kin to inherit the deposit at the
time of his death.
Sequel to the death of Mr. Floyd H. Mart, I was
contacted by the Director of the Holding Bank (Dr.
Humphrey Obasiki) based on trust and competence to
assist in the search for a trustworthy and reliable
Overseas Partner who has the same name as the
deceased. A sincere person, so we can "empower him and
present him to the Bank as the Beneficiary".

Be reminded that in the Financial/Banking Laws of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria, the holding bank is
required to divert any abandoned fund by a Foreigner
if nobody puts claim on the said fund after three
(3)years of the
confirmation of the death of the depositor.
This is the Last quota of the year ending for the Bank
to finally divert the fund.

Our interest in this abandoned deposit is thus to
repatriate the fund to a
reliable overseas partner's bank account for high
yield investment portfolio.
We can perfectly and successfully implement this
project within 9bank working days if you provide the
necessary overseas infrastructure required to realize
this objective. The modality for disbursing the fund
will be discussed fully with you the Bank-Account
owner/provider.
Please bear in mind that this entire transaction will
be 100% Risk - free and legitimate as the funds will
be coming to you as an INHERITANCE CLAIM.
If this proposition is acceptable by you, respond to
me ASAP but if not, please do not take advantage of it
to betray neither me nor the Director as we are fully
aware of the abuses in the Internet.

If acceptable by you, send me your private email and
telephone/ fax numbers for me to notify the Director
and you will discuss fully the details to this claim
approach from his Bank.
Awaiting your prompt and candid response.

Yours Sincerely,
Barrister Paul Martins Esq.
"PAUL & PAUL CHAMBERS"
PRINCIPAL PARTNER.
