"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: My Dear Beloved One.

My Dear beloved one.
I am desperately in need of help because from the situation of things now, I am greatly troubled. I know you would be my miracle. My names are Ali Momodu. I am a native of Ghana in Africa. I am 24 years old. I got your contact address from one of my father's files in his office here in Ghana.

Right now, my father has been killed in the Israeli Lebanese war and my mother as well. I have lost my parents in this wicked war and I believe that the almighty Allah will fight for me. My father, Alhaji Ali Momodu was a very successful business man here in Ghana . He traveled to Lebanon on February this year and established in Beirut, Lebanon with my mother. When this war began, they were among the first people that were attacked and killed and since then, I have been traumatized.

My late father has a treasure box safely kept in a security company The box contains 12.6million dollars (twelve million, six hundred thousand dollars).I have gone there to claim these boxes but without success. My father instructed that at the event of his death, the box will be made available to me on one condition-that his business partner Chief Robert Martins should sign out the box to me but Chief Robert Martins is no where to be found. I have written him a lot of times without reply and I assume that he also died in Lebanon with my father.

Can I really trust you and have faith that you will not betray me? I want you to come and stand in place of my father's business partner so as to be able to claim this cash. If you would be able to do this for me, I promise you that I will give you 30% of the whole amount. Can you make this a secret? Can you keep it just between the two of us? I want us to keep it to ourselves because if my father's partner is at all still alive, I won't want him to know because I know that he will definitely make away with the whole treasure. I pray you to please listen to my cry for help so that we could claim this item immediately.

Please do furnish me with your full name and address as well as telephone number as a sign of trust so that I could reach you on the phone and proceed with other necessary applications. The web page below would help you to understand more about what happened to my parents. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Israel-Lebanon_conflict
As soon as you get this mail reach me with this email: alimomodu@gawab.com

Best regards,
Mr. Ali momodu Jnr.
