"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Dearest one,

Greetings of this day to you as you go through this message designed to inform you of my desire to go into business relationship with you which will be of great mutual benefit for both of us.

My name is Angela Ama,the only child of late Chief Laurent Ama, a rich cocoa marchant here in our country, Ivory Coast, who was the Director General of the Cocoa Export Corporation(C.E.C.) of Ivory Coast. My father was killed by the rebel forces during the 2003 political uprising in our country. However, before his death at this time, he had told me about his deposits with a bank here in Abidjan which totaled $3.7 million (three million, seven hundred thousand United States Dollars). I have since his death verified this fact with available documents.

And now, with the lingering political crisis and violence in our country, I am seeking your help to come over to your country as your adopted daughter or a refugee , after you have helped me to transfer this money into your private account. I want to come over there to continue my education under your guidance as my foster parent, as you help me to invest the money wisely. You can reach me soon for more information through this my private email id:angel19yr@yahoo.fr
Thanks and God bless,
Angel Ama.
