"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I therefore see no reason why you are nto certain about the fact that your personal email address won you the sum of 5,500,000.00 GBP (FIVE MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND POUNDS STERLING).

All that will be required to do is to choose from the various payment options previously sent to you the one that best suits your financial status so that details of how payment can be made will be sent to you. Immediately payment is confirmed by the officer incharge we will go ahead and despatch your parcel containing your winning cheque to you. There are no European banking laws of any kind.

However, if you are not interested in completing the final process in having your winning cheque delivered to you, please you are to notify us in your next mail so that a dis-claimer attestation form can be sent to you, which will act as a binding between us for your winnings to be returned to The Microsoft Word Lottery Board for the upcoming draw and it will be marked as "unclaimed by winner". On the other hand, if you still want to claim your prize you are to act fast because we will be going on Christmas holidays pretty soon.
