"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,
With due respect and humility i write you this proposal which i believe would be of great interest to you. It is also with trust and believe that i write to you this proposal, because we don’t know each other neither have we seen before, but my confidence was reposed on you. I am Mr Lawrence Taylor, a national of Liberia and the sun of the former Liberian President Mr Charles Ghankon Taylor.I was mandated by my father to seek for a foreign partner who will assist us retrieve the sum of US$56.5 Million ( Fifty Six Million, Five Hundred Thousand United State Dollars Only ) and serve as the guardian of this fund. This fund was deposited with the Central Bank Of Nigeria on a different name by my father when we were in exile in Nigeria.
Unfortunately, my father was arrested in Nigeria on Wednesday,March 29th, 2006 and deported back to my country Liberia to placed him in the custody of Liberian Government so that he can be moved down to Freetown, Sierra Leone where he is now faceing court trial for alleged war crimes. Meanwhile, why we have decided to transfer this fund out of Nigeria to a foreign partner account was due to the embargo that United Nation (U.N) placed on my fathers properties and account even on the entire family, and that was why we needed your assistance so that we can now transfer this fund to your account for safety. We have it in mind to reward you handsomely for your assistance. We are prepared to give you 30% of the total sum and we will like to invest in your country under your control /supervision and you will be intitle of 35% share in the total investment to be made. If you are interested and willing to assist us, do not hesitate to send me your bank details where you will like
this money to be transfered to, such as:
1, The name of your bank and address
2, The account number
3, The beneficiary of the account
4, Your private telephone and fax number
As soon as you send the above bank details to me, i will forward it to the Central Bank Of Nigeria for payment approval of this fund into your nominated bank account.
Please ensure that no one else know about this transaction.
Try and keep this transaction secret and confidential.
May God bless you the more as you assist us.
I look forward to your urgent reply.
Yours Sincerely,

Lawrence Taylor
