"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attn:Sir/Mdm,
Please accept my apology for contacting you this
way which was due to the urgency of my request.
I am in need of a worthy business partner abroad
who can handle the investment of specified funds
which have been lying fallow for sometime.
I have looked around and seen that you would be
able to render this invaluable service to me.
If you accept to work with me, you would be my
foreign partner to receive the said funds on my
behalf. Due to the sensitive position I occupy
in my place of work, I would want you to hold
the funds in some investment until I can travel
to meet with you.
At your request I will intimate you with the
blueprint when I receive your mail. If the contents
of this mail assaults your professional ethics and
personal values, please pardon my ignorance and do
not hesitate to contact me via my private
email:bako007@myway.com if you are in
a position to assist.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
My regards.
