"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello dear,
REPATRIATION OF $15.5M

I am Benjamin Nicholas.I am British by orgin. I am contacting you following your contact email i got from a tourism webpage. I contacted you because i feel that you stand the position to help me in receiving this sum,US$15.5Million  for safe keeping for future investment purposes in your country. Please do not feel embarrased because i contacted you through email, because of a lot of spam-mail that goes on in the internet, please i have no alternative,so i seek your indulgence in this.
This money came about as a result of over-invoiced contract I committed during my service as the protocal officer of the Contract Monitoring Committee in West Africa, when the governments of West Africa invited us for the supervision of the turn-around maintainance of some strategic spots at the Crude Oil Refineries there. I have no justification for over-invoicing this contract, but my very sorrowfull state has lead me to carry out this action so that i can benefit greatly from this work. The fund is now floating in am suspence account in African Development Bank.
As you must know,my dear,am a cancer of the lungs suferer;and my treatment has defiled all treatment, and i don't think i can leave beyond this year,as the doctor has stated in the last medical check up i went for. So,i really need your help to receive this fund, which must be invested in your country. At least,i want to leave adequate investment for my two kids Sandra and Jnr. so that they can live a fulfilling life after i must have left this world.
The Contracts have already been concluded since;you are now required to liase with the paying Bank in West Africa for the transfer of the fund into any bank account you shall nominate for this. All i need to do is to register your  name into the list of accredited contractors due for payment so that you will receive the fund as one of the contractors among whom the contract was subleted to. Please if you are really interested to assist in this regard, kindly send  the following information:
(1) Your Name/company\'s name and full address,
(2) Your contact Tel/Fax No.
(3) Your Occupation
(4) Valid ID
As a mark of God's gratitude, and being a christain too,i have decided to set aside 5% of this fund for charity work, which you will also help me in this regard.Your reward is 30% of the fund, and i am also offering you the opportunity to participate in the investemnt which i will make so that it will be a joint investment.Note that i can not apply for the fund directly because i am not a direct contrator,i only work in the monitoring committee. So,your assistance is highly important.
Please i anticipate your kind consideration on this help.
