"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Get back to me.

Dear,

Thank you for your urgent response. I contacted you on this matter believing that we could do this transaction together for the benefit of both of us. I know that you may not know or have a direct relationship with late John Werner, but I am taking advantage that you have the same last name with him, which provides us with the necessary ground to apply for the release of this money to you for our joint benefit.

You have to understand that if this is what I can do without fronting somebody as the next of kin, I wouldn't have contacted you at all. Moreover, if it were possible for me to use any person I lay my hands on, I would have presented somebody here without going through the stress of looking for a foreigner to act as the next of kin to the deceased. The need for a foreigner to act as the next of kin to the deceased is occasioned by the fact that the deceased is an expatriate.

What actually I want you to do is to stand as the relation of the deceased so as to apply officially for the release of the money in his account through the headquarters of the bank. I will prepare and send to you the application letter that you will send to the bank requesting the release of the money. Already I have concluded arrangement for the approval of the application as I have my contacts in all the area that matters within the bank.

The transaction is 100% risk free. The security of all parties involved is adequately guaranteed in as much as it is executed through the appropriate manner and channel as planned. From the arrangements put in place, I expect that this transaction will be
completed within two working weeks. However, you have to assure me of the safety of my own share of the money in your hands if you decide to assist until I come over to your country for disbursement.

Meanwhile, I am offering you 40% of the total sum for the assistance you will provide. You should let me know more about yourself.

Your Full Name................................
Your Occupation:..............................
Date of Birth:................................
Marital Status:...............................
Contact address:..............................
Telephone number:.............................
Fax Number(if any) :.........................

If I may ask, What is the possibility of investment opportunities in your country? How do your Government Policies encourage foreign investment? All these I would love to know immediately to enable us commence.

Please if you are satisfied with this and know you are capable enough to proceed, kindly let me know right away. Please be informed that the sensitive nature of this project demands that it must be kept absolutely confidential. I await your most urgent response. Lets work with one mind.

My regards to you and your family,

Sincerely
David Kenneth.
