"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

From: Mrs. Regina Weah

Country: Liberia,

West Africa.

Dear Sir,

Compliments of the day, First and foremost, I want to solicit your strict confidence in this transaction and I pray that my decision to contact you will be given a genuine approval considering the fact that we have not known each other before. Sir before I proceed, I feel quite safe dealing with you in this important transaction. However, this correspondence is unofficial and private, and it should be treated as such. Further I would wish to use this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I am Mrs. Regina Weah from Liberia, West Africa. I am writing to inform you of my desire to invest, and to buy a living house in your country. I am the widow of late Mr. Opong Weah, my Husband was a diamond/gold merchant before his death. His death was cause by gun short injuries he sustained in the hands of rebels on his way traveling out of my country with two of my daughters due to the crisis in my country (Liberia) some years back. Unfortunately my daughter's died on the spot while UN peace keepers rescued my husband, he was taken to hospital for medical treatment, were he later died. Before his death he revealed to me about a deposit he made with a security company in Ghana containing 35 kilos of raw gold and $12.6 million,(twelve million and six hundred thousand us dollars) for safekeeping as family treasures. My husband did not disclose the content of the boxes to the security company to avoid the officials from raising eyebrows to the contents of the consignment. Presently I am in Ghana with son Charles to notify the security company for the claims, and we are staying at the Bujumbura refugee camp. Sir, i am writing to seek for your assistance on how best and areas we can invest this fund in you country, knowing the fact that we have not been to your country before. My husband strictly advised us before his death not to venture to invest this fund in Africa due to market instability coupled with economic and political instability facing African countries, considering all this fact and the high economic growth in your country was why I have opted to invest in your country. For your mutual assistance in actualizing this objective, my son and I have agreed to offer you 25% of the total amount of the money. All the vital documents covering the deposit and the ownership are intact with our attorney, which will be sent to you on your notifying us of your willingness to assist. Note we have in mind to establish a good business and friendly relationship with you in the nearest future if you are able to assist us. Please treat this matter with utmost confidentiality to yourself. Also i would want you to forward across to me your direct Tel/Fax number for discussion about this transaction. If you are unable to assist please be kind to notify me so that I can look for a suitable alternative. Please accept my warm compliments, as I earnestly await your response.

Best Regards,

Mrs. Regina Weah.

For the entire family
