"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello dear,

I am Mrs. Janet Taylor, wife of the embattled former President of war torn Liberia, Mr Charles Taylor.

My husband already stepped down as some months ago andnowarrested for prosecution.

Early last year, he gave some documents of money deposit in Spain in case if he was arrested. This fund is sum of $17.5m.

Now,the United Nations has freezed all my husbands assets and affiliate accounts it has become difficult for us to take care of certain things.

This is why I need you to please agree with me to claim this money and subsequently deposit same in a reputable bank there for onward transfer to your account so that we will make investment for our family in buying of properties. But you will need to help too in the area of finance.
