"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Do get back to me now and call me ok

My good friend,

Thanks for your e-mail. It happens that the bad once has made the good ones
bad. Please I do want to take time go through my first proposal again. You
should know that with my position I cannot do anything that will jeopardize
my personality.

I want to tell you with 100% assurance that you will not regret doing this
transaction with me. This is what you are going to see with your two eyes,
this fund is going to be sending to your house once you co-operate with me.
All I need is your trust if this fund gets to you; you will not make away
with our money.

Before we can go ahead, I want you to send your personal initials; I will
forward it to the security company with the letter from our high commission
so that they will see you as the right next of kin to this fund.
Full Name, Tel/Fax Number, Home address.

My good friend, I want you to call me now so that we can talk things out. I
have some important things to discus with you.

Once, I see seriousness in you I will go ahead to forward to you some
documents relating to the late Mr. Michael, which will prove to the security

Let me hear from you now, do send the above Initials; this transaction is
