"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend.

I am writing this mail to you with heavy heart of sorrow and grief but I
have taken solace in Allah who is the Perfect master of all time.

My name is Prince Ibrahim Naa’ba; I am the Chief Protocol Officer to late
Sultan Mohammadu Maccido Abubakar 111.

On the October 29th, 2006, Sultan Mohammadu Maccido Abubakar 111 died in the
ill fated ADC
Airlines plane crash owned by the Aviation Development Company plc Sultan
Mohammadu Maccido Abubakar was led to rest at the tomb of Sultan Uthman Dan
Fodio in Sokoto City the same day. The ceremony took a few minutes in
accordance with Muslim rites.

I have in my possession the sum of US$18Million United States Dollars, which
is part of the money, mapped out for the gubernatorial campaign of Sen.
Badamasi Maccido, a serving senator and son of the late Sultan who also died
on that ill-fated plane crash.

The money is deposited with a Finance/Security Company in Europe and I am
the only person that knows about the deposit. I am contacting you to receive
the fund on my behalf because as a civil servant and a top government
official, the code of conducts prohibits me from operating a
foreign bank account.

As soon as you have claimed this Money, I will come over to your country for
my share of the Fund and investment in any lucrative business you may advise
me.

I will give you 35% for your assistance.5% will be mapped out for local and
international Expenses we may incur and I will take 60%.

Please keep this transaction strictly confidential because of my Job, as
nobody is aware of the money in Europe.
