"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Sir .

My name is Dr, Joseph Salisu . I am the Regional Director of the West African Monetary & Evaluation Control here in Ghana .

Due to the illegal operations of fraudsters in Nigeria and Africa, The joint Economic Community of West African States ( ECOWAS ) has set up this body .
Last month, my agency made several seizures of different consignments which are presently awaiting to be deliver to their different locations, amongst which are yours consignment .

While going through our files of " listed unclaimed / seized consignments, my staff found a Consignment which belong to you and has been seized from a group of Fraudsters and Scammers that has been parading every where around the country .

I believe that you have not been informed of this seizure . In my capacity as the Director of ECOWAS , I am prepared to assist you to deliver your consignment to your country of origin .

For proper identification and delivery, please send the following informations:

( 1 ) Send to this office the name of your nearest international airport to enable Me to enroute the diplomat's ticket correctly to your country .

( 2) You have to send us your 1st & 2nd pages of your passport OR , your Driver's Licence , OR anything to identify you .to enable the carrier to deliver your consignment directly to you as the owner / beneficiary .

( 3 ) Send your telephone OR cell-phone number for easy access to communicate with you. Also required is your contact delivery address so that we can deliver your fund correctly and directly to your door step .

Upon receipt of the above informations ,We shall send to you the Diplomat's passport so that you can identify him on arrival .We shall also send to you his flight schedule as to get you prepared to receive the Diplomat on arrival at your airport .
