"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dearest,

I wish to write you this proposal and ask your help
,this however is not mandatory nor will I in
any manner compel you to honour against your will.

I am Lilian Konan with my junior brother Brian konan
the only suviving children of late Mr Phillip Konan.
Our father was a highly reputable busnness magnet
-(a cocoa merchant)who operated in the capital of Ivory
coast during his days.

It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously in
France during one of his business trips abroad year
12th.Febuary 2006.Though his sudden death was linked
or rather suspected to have been masterminded by an
uncle of his (export manager)who travelled with him at that time.
But God knows the truth!

Before his death
on Febuary 12 2006 he called the secretary who
accompanied him to the hospital and told him that he
has the sum of seven million, five hundred thousand
United State Dollars.(USD$7.500,000) left in fixed
deposit account in one of the leading banks in
Africa.

Our father further told us that he deposited the
money with agreement bound with this bank which is in written
that will recognise my junior brother Brian Konan in
Claiming ownership and possession of all the
necessary but legal documents to this fund and the
bank as the next of kin which we will send you for comfarmation
after you show intrest to help us.

We really don't know what to do.Now we want an account
overseas where we can transfer this funds. This is
because we have suffered a lot of set backs as a
result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory
coast cople that our late father's brother the (export manager)
who is intrested saleing our late father's property and the export
licence now he is in search of us since we make away with
this lodgment receipt because that is the only thing we can
use to start life afresh with our education career all this with
the death of our late father actually brought sorrow and
misery to our life.

Dear ,we are in a sincere desire of your humble
assistance in this regards.Your suggestions and ideas will be
highly regarded. As i will offer you 5% for your effort
and 2% for any expence you might encounter in the transfering
of my late father's money into your nominated account.

Now permit us to ask these few questions:-
1. Can you honestly help us as your own children?
2. Can we completely trust you?
3.can you provide a bank account in which this money would be transferred into?
4. To serve as a guardian of this fund since we are only 22/20 years old?
5. To make arrangement for US to come over to your country to further our education while you manage the money in any lucrative besiness you know that can yield profit till we graduate then join you in the business.

Please,Consider this and get back to us as soon as
possible.

Thank you so much.
Our sincere

Lilian & Brian Konan
