I am very much obliged and compelled also to write this letter to you. Honestly, my purpose here is to establish a fact of relationship as a next of kin/estate beneficiary of my late client, Engr. James Campbell. Therefore I would want us to work out a partnership/cooperation in claiming and repatriating the UNPAID CONTRACT SUM of my late client, who was a contractor with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) here in Nigeria. Unfortunately, he died some months ago, along with his wife and three children, in a boat mishap in the creeks of Escravos, an island town in the oil rich Niger Delta region, where he was on a petroleum exploration/supervision contract for the NNPC.

Recently his CONTRACT PAYMENT at the NNPC has been approved for pay out to his next of kin/relative. And being his lawyer, the authorities have mandated me to get my late client's relatives/next of kin to claim his funds. And I have tried on several occasions in locating any without success. I am therefore, seeking your cooperation to present you as the Next of Kin of the deceased, since both of you are from the same place, so that his approved contract sum at NNPC will be paid to you. I will then come over to your country for the sharing of the money.

I propose to take 65% of the money while you will take 30%, and 5% will be used to settle all expenses. I will procure all necessary legal documents that can be used to back up the claim we will make at the NNPC. All I require is your honest cooperation to enable us seeing this deal through. I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law.
