"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.

Consequent upon the current war against farmers in Zimbabwe by the
supporters of President Mugabe, to claim all the white owned farms to his
party members and his followers, he ordered all
white farmers to surrender their farmlands to his party members and his
supporters. My dad was one of the rich and well-known farmer in Zimbabwe,
with this fact we did not support such an obnoxious and retrogressive
policy of MUGABE, our farm was invaded by MUGABE`S thugs and everything
in the farm was destroyed.

Sir, it was on this tragic incidence that took the life of my dad, He died
in the process and all the valuables in the farm were looted and those
they could not loot were destroyed. However, before his death, he had
deposited with a security firm, the sum of $16.5m USD (Sixteen
Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars} for safe keeping due
to the heat that was
turned on the opposition by MUGABE. Upon this, it therefore became
imperative that we had to move to South Africa to Seek asylum.

My father deposited this money with a security company as valuable and
family treasures. Sir, may you find it so touching in assisting us. Then I
shall let you know every detail about the Security
Company. I am therefore constrained to make this contact in order to seek
your help in moving
this fund out from the security firm. As an asylum seeker my status here
does not permit me to operate any account in South Africa and hence this
country and country Zimbabawe similar political
ideologies we`re afraid of what may happen in future.

My family would be willing to offer you (30%) of the total sum for your
assistance; (5%) will be mapped out for all contingent expenses that may be
incurred in the course of the transaction, while (65%) will be for me and
my family.
