"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Attn:Maaike Moynes

I am James Kirabo, I am the personal attorney to the Late Mr. E.Moynes, a National of your country herein referred to as my client, My client worked as a Contractor.

Please forgive my indignation if this massage comes to you as a surprise and if it might offend you with out your prior consent and writing through this channel.

On the 21st of April 2003 my client, his wife and their only daughter were involved in a car accident along Aneho Express Road and all occupants of the vehicle unfortunately lost there lives. Since then I have made several enquiries to locate any of my clients extended relatives this has also prove unsuccessful.

I have contacted you to assist in repatriating fund valued at Nine Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars only(US$ 9,500,000.00) left behind by my client with a Finance Firm before it gets confiscated or declared unserviceable by the Firm where this amount was deposited.

The management of the firm has issued me a notice as the deceased attorney to present a next of kin so that the fund left behind in their custody should be released.
Ever since then, I have made several attempts to locate any of his cousins or next of kin so that they will come forward to put in claims to the said fund but unfortunately, I am still unable to locate anybody as the supposed next of kin died along with him.

After several unsuccessful attempts to trace any of his relatives, I decided to track his last name over the internet in search of his cousins hence I contacted you.
In this regard, I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin and I assure you a successful transaction that will not last longer than necessary as I will protect you from any breach of the law. Once I ascertain your willingness, I will furnish you with more information.

Best Regards God bless you.

James Kirabo (Esq).
