"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GOOD DAY

GOODDAY;
Compliment of the season. My name is Chief Peter Kwame. My purpose of
writing is to seek your immediate assistance to help me claim my goods that
is stocked with a shipping company in madrid, spain. I have a consignment I
shipped to madrid to one Mr. Scott Joiner my long time business partner. The
consignment has been in madrid for the past 7 months due to the fact that
the delivery company could not locate Mr. Joiner through his old address I
gave the shipping company before they made the shipment to him. Up till now,
they still could not locate him or hear from him as to claim the
consignment. Please I write to request your to kind assistance to retrieve
the consignment from the shipping company since the company could no longer
locate Mr.Joiner.The contents inside the consignments are containing some
cash money and some Gold Dust Alluvial metal. However, I have kept the
contents inside the boxes away to the knowing of the shipping company. I
still prefer to keep it that way for safe reasons. Infact, I am finding more
difficult to return the consignment back to Ghana because the shipping
company is demanding that the incurred handling and the demurrage charges
must be paid them before they will release it. Prior before the shipment, I
had instructed Mr. Joiner that upon receipt of the consignment to gradually
lodge the cash money inside one of the boxes into any of his Bank accounts
and also sale the gold dust as well and transfer the money into a particular
account I gave him. This was an agreement we reached before I made the
shipment. Hence I don't know if he is still alive or dead because his
numbers are not going through any more. However, the consignments are still
intact with the shipping company and I am requesting you to claim it for me
as the new owner. Accordingly, I will secure from here a court sworn
affidavit change of ownership to your name in accordance. Mr. Joiner is
already aware of my urgent need for the fund. He knew very that I would need
the money for my political campaign because I am contesting as the next
Republic of Ghana presidential candidate come 2008. This is the only avenue
I have strategize to channel my campaign money back here. I made the money
while I was serving as the chairman Obuasi gold field Ghana . I hope you
will understand my present situation now while I am still requesting your
assistance to urgently claim the consignment for me I am trusting you to be
an honest man and I would wish to continue other future business
relationship with you in this same regards. Due to too much pressure on me
from the delivery company, I was forced to locate your contact information
to me through my private email or send me your phone number to contact you
for more discussions. Thank you for your time and hope to hear your
favorable response.
Yours Truly.
Chief Peter Kwame.
