"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Beloved Father Harry Anslinger,
My heartfelt and loving greetings to you in the most highly exalted name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All of our co-pastors and all the children are fine here with the grace of god.
Brother thanks for your pray full reply. I and all of our co-pastors and children are feeling very happy with your reply. Thanks for your prayers up on us. The place you asked was not near to me. We are 1000kms far from the town which you asked. Who is that pastor you mentioned in the letter, because of that much of distance we don’t know him. If it was necessary to contact him please give me his mail address or mobile number I will contact him deffinetly.
Our church people, co-pastors are greeting you in heartfelt way. Orphan children are sending their love and kisses to you. I wait at your prayerful and favorable reply on our need as I narrated to you.

Thanking you in Jesus,

Your brother in Christ,
Pastor M. Sreenivasa Rao
