"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Bank of England Judiciary represents the Hooray Yahoo!New Year Promotion. Having contacted me and provided the details and reference contained in your email, I am in position to confirm to you that there is an E-mail Promotion Prize, which amounts to Eight hundred thousand US Dollars ($800,000) attached to the:

I say congratulations for being the owner and user of the E-mail address attached to this prize. Being in this position, I can understand that you are not sure of what to do, but let me assure and guarantee you that it is my duty to assist you, and I will assist you in every manner possible, to ensure that you claim your Promotion Prize.

Having received your information, please note that you must not at anytime inform any other person of your Prize, that is to say that your communication with me must be held confidential at every time. This is so because I would consider whoever contacts me with the reference and winning numbers as the winner of the Prize, so if you give any body your winning numbers, and they contact me, you might lose your Prize. Please take very important note.

Furthermore, let me confirm to you that we have been informed by the YAHOO! that the winner of this prize would contact us to claim the prize, and we are willing and open to co-operate with you in every manner possible.
Please be informed of the following:

1. The prize, which you have won, is not attracted to a ticket, therefore, the prize is uninsured. Because the prize is uninsured, we are not in position at anytime to access your prize or restrict you from claiming your prize. You have absolute right to claim your prize and utilize it as you deem fit.

2. Because your prize is attached to the reference numbers attached to your email address, we do not know you personally. As a result, your prize is presently being deposited in a Suspense Account with our paying bank, ING Bank NL, UK . We propose that your Prize would be transferred to you via banking channels.

However, the prize cannot be transferred directly out of the Suspense Account with our paying bank, because for a transfer to take place there must be a signatory to such account, and the Suspense Account in which your Prize is deposited presently has no signatory.

3. You would therefore be required to open a Personal Domiciliary Account with our paying bank, and after this is completed, your prize would be moved out of the Suspense Account with our paying bank and lodged into your Personal Domiciliary Account(PDA) with our paying bank, and from your account with our paying bank your prize can be wired into any other accounts as you may wish.
