"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I got your contact when I was searching for a foreign buisness partner here in Abidjan republic of Cote D'Ivoire on my search for honest and reliable person. I am Miss MAGRET JOHNSON,the only daughter of late Dr and Mrs.SAMUEL JOHNSON, My father was a very wealthy Cocoa and gold dealer but he was assisnated during the political crisis .My father secretly told me that he has the sum of ten million two hundred thousand dollars (USD 10.200.000) He deposited in the security company in Abidjan .Which he used my name as the next of kin when he deposited the money. I am here in Abidjan with my younger brother.

Dear, I honourably seek your assistance in the following ways: I want you to help me claim this money from the security company and transfer it into your account .To help me arrange for better establishment. To help me and my brother to come over your country to further our education. I will give you all information. But you should promise me that you will protect our interest till the end of this transaction. Tell me what percentage that will be good for you out of the total money for your help when this money is been transfered into your account. I am with the certificate of deposit. Please I will need your telephone and fax numbers for easy communication. Expecting to hear your urgent response.
