"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

I got your contact through our Chamber of Commerce, and feel obliged to send you this proposal, which will be of benefit to both of us, if we could work together in mutual trust and confidence. I am hoping that you are God fearing and can reliably handle this proposal. I assure you that this transaction is 100% risk free.
I am Raboosh Medina Norman, the first son of Chief Sam Hinga Norman, who until recently was the Internal Affairs Minister of the Republic of Sierra Leone. As you might be aware, my country has just come out of a ten year civil war. My father was the head of the Civil Militia, which fought along side the government and the sub regional forces (ECOMOG) in the defense of the democratically elected government of our country. With the war over, the United Nations has set up a special court to try those they claim bear the greatest responsibility for crimes against humanity in the course of the war My father has therefore been indicted and arrested in his position as the former leader of the Civil Militia, and he is now awaiting trial at the United Nations Special Court for Sierra Leone. You can read more on my fathers arrest in BBC FOCUS ON AFRICA MAGAZINE (July-September2003 edition) in page 10.
My father's indictment has caused untold hardship on my family. I as the eldest son by African tradition is now saddled with the responsibility of taking care of the family and arranging a good defense team in preparation for my father's trial. More so now that the present Government which he fought to defend has abandoned us. Most unfortunately too, my father did not use his position while in office to build friendships and contacts outside our country.
However my father did leave about 500 kilos of Gold,
Specification:

Caratage : 22 carats

Purity : 92.5 %

State : In dust & bars
Diamonds: From 3 to 107 carats of different qualities, colors, sizes and shapes.

Totaling 1,900 carats.

Money in cash is $USD 11.000.000 ( Eleven million United States Dollars)

All these are deposited as family treasures with a Security Company.
I have bared from traveling outside Sierra Leone and my family is concerned about the safety of the above, which now is our only source of hope.
In the light of the above, I now solicit your cooperation in,

A: Arranging for the sales of the Diamonds and Gold.

B: Arranging for the collection of the cash to your country for safe keeping in your account.

My family is willing to give you 15% of the money realized from the sales of the Diamonds and Gold or the cash received by you, for safe keeping.

Should you be willing and capable to work with me, revert back through my e-mail addresses.

You can also reach me on my cell phone number +232-30-717171; I will then furnish you with more details as regards this transaction.

NB, upon receipt of your reply, I will send to you some pictures of the Diamonds and Gold.

l hope to hear from you soon.

Kind Sierra Leonean greetings

Raboosh Medina Norman
