"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

How are you? This is my first time of reaching you, as we never met before
but I saw your contact details through my late father's dairy when I was
looking for a reliable business partner/ investor in your Country who can
manage and invest in a profitable ventures. My name is Robert Owusu (28yrs)
the only son of late Nana Mensah Owusu, High Chief From Tarkwa, a rich
Gold Region in Ghana-West Africa .

My Late father was a good businessman and a well known Gold and Timber
Merchant here in my Country, before his death, he applied for a loan few
years ago, just last week, I got a letter from DHL, when I opened it, to my
greatest surprised the loan was approved by the management of Company,
but without knowing that my father has recently pasted away.

Sir, I am here to inform you that I am looking for a representative/ Company
overseas who will comply as my late father's business associate to achieve
the loan for our investment in your country.

The loan is to be repay back in 10 years with interest of 20%. The amount
which has been approved is US 120 Million Dollars. Please if you are
interested, I will like you to include your phone fax and your full name and
address in order for me to furnish it to the loan company as my late father
representative for approval, as soon as they agreed, both of us shall sign a
partnership agreement on how to invest the funds and make good profits.
