"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

It may interest you to know that I have a business financial deal/transaction that you would be glad to
participate and earn money for playing a role in the transaction.The business deal requires you to receive
funds in your account from our bank.

As stated above you are to assist me receive fund and equally invest the same fund in your country.
Be informed that the total amount of fund to be re-profiled is Four Million one hundred thousand United
State Dollars (USD$4,100,000.00).

In fact you will be paid 20% of the above amount for your cooperation to stand and receive the fund
including management of the fund for investment in your account.

It is important you include your personal data (names,address,tel/fax numbers) in your letter of interest.
