"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hi,
I am writing to you on an issue of great importance and urgency. My name is Mr. Jude Sanders. I was personal assistant to Mr. Andreas Franz, an expatriate working with Royal Dutch Shell. He perished in the ill-fated Bellview Airlines Flight B3210 plane crash of Saturday, October 22, 2005. May his soul rest in peace. I am contacting you now about an issue that I believe will be of mutual interest and benefit to both of us.

Before the demise of the late Mr. Andreas Franz, I was privy to funds that he deposited in one of the leading banks in the country here. As his personal assistant, I know very well his financial status and the details of the money deposited in the bank. Since his demise, I have tried through various diplomatic channels to reach any of his next-of-kin, to no avail. And knowing that he died without a written will, I fear that the money in the bank will eschew to
the government or will be ploughed back by the bank as unclaimed funds, if they are aware of the fact that he died without a written will; and leaving behind no immediate, extended relations and/or inheritors.

This is where you come into the deal. I have the details of his bank account, and I have made out elaborate plans on how to make you his next of kin and beneficiary by swearing to an affidavit from the high court in your favour, if you are willing to work with me on a mutual sharing basis which we shall go into when we come to a working agreement.

What I need from you is your consent and cooperation to forward your name and details as his beneficiary to the bank here, and also your assurance that you will not disappear into thin air once you get custody of the money. I need you to come forward for this money because you are white and I am black, and as such I cannot claim to be related to Mr. Franz.

Please get back to me as soon as you read this so I can know if you agree with me on the scheme I have planned out for you to claim the money. I also need your secure promise and assurance that you will work with me in one accord in carrying out this deal, as I will have to repose a lot of confidence in you for us to succeed. Call me on my cell phone so we can discuss further. My telephone number is +2348068205187

Thank you for your time and patience in reading through this. I expect your response soon.
Yours truly,
Jude Sanders
