"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Then, Iraq And Now.

FROM MR ANDREW WILLIAMS

Hello,
Contained herein is an information meant solely for your consumption
and
consideration. I and my wife (both British Citizens) worked in the oil
field
of Iraq, doubling our work there with an orphanage we run for the less
priviledged until the invasion. However, we never relented after the
oil
field became danger zone to workers and foreigners but stayed in a
Village
of mostly Sunni Christains and not extreme muslims till December last
year
when we were forced to leave Iraq partly due to my wife's illness and
the
heat of the war.
We were married for eleven Years without a child. My wife early this
year
died after a brief illness that lasted for only Four Days. During our
years
in Iraq, we made a Fixed Deposit of $5.5MILLION USD with a bank in
Europe
for a term of 10years. this Money is still With the Bank. Recently my
Doctor
told me that I would not last for the next four months due to my cancer
problem, my biggest problem been my stroke. I am what you can call a
child
from the lost generation been born in the early days of WW11.
My father was stationed in Northern Ireland during the war were I lost
my
whole family when German planes attacked a fuel depot near our station
in
Ireland leaving me an orphan with no relative. I moved to London after
the
war, where I single-handedly built my career. Having known my
Condition,I
have decided to donate the above fund to church or Better still a
Christian
or good Muslim individual that will utilize this money the way I am
going to
instruct herein. I want a centre built that will use this money to fund
churches, Mosques, less priviledged, Research centers and to ensure
that
world peace is Maintained through the instrument of love for the less
priviledged and all human since we have but one God. All I am asking of
you
is to assist me in making the collection of this deposit and
dispatching the
funds as I requested above.
As soon As I receive your reply, we will contract the services of an
attorney I will recommend who among other things shall give you the
contact
of The bank. I will Also issue you a letter of authority that will
empower
You as the new beneficiary of this fund. I want you to always pray for
me.
You will have your reward after the fund must have entered your
account,
since you will keep 20% of the funds for yourself and your family & 10%
should be to cover any expenses that might be incurred in the process
of
making this claims.
The rest must be utilised as I stated above. As soon as you finish
reading
if you are capable and sincere to assist me in collecting this fund
reply
and provide me with your address and contact mobile/home phone numbers
so
that I can now direct you to the attorney who would put you through the
whole process.

Remain blessed.
Andrew Williams.
