"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: URGENT REPLY NEEDED.

Hello,
Compliment of the day.My name is Mr Alex.J.Anderson.I am a british and worked with the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Ministry of Land and Property acquisition.I was in charge of various lands which the federal government of Nigeria allocated to me for various purposes. As a matter of fact,a lot of this lands are situated in the outskirt of various part of the nation and apparently appears to be useless due to its location, considering the fact that nobody wants to make use of it either for industrial purpose or personal use. However, before i retired from the Ministry i found out, alongside other co-patners that a large deposit of crude oil happens to be in most of this lands. After holding talks, recently with the federal government of nigeria,we reached a concession that i should do whatever i want with the land as long as it would have a positive impact on the Nation's Economy. In other words, the lands are now in my hands. So,i am looking for someone to be my patner,so as to generate funds,to see to it that the Oil deposit goes through the right process of refining, after extensive driling.50% of whatever comes out of it goes to the Nigerian Government and the other 50% goes to me.So i am soliciting your assistance,in this regard so as to embark on this business venture.Details regarding the amount you would be expected to remit and your percentage from the funds realised after refining would be forwarded to you soonest depending on your level of interest, prior to which a form would be sent to you via electronic mail, for careful filling.
