"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dearly Beloved,

I really do not know where to start and where to stop, but i believe you
will know the whole details of me contacting you over here!

I lost my dear husband in the year 2004 and before his death i did
not have any issue for my husband, in a situation such as this in our
place, the reletives of the deceased normally take over all the properties
of their late relative, it is our custom, but such a custom is too
primitive, because the widows like me are sufering alot because of this stupid tradition!!

ained my plight to him revealing to him that before the death of
my husband, he deposited some money with a security finance company in
a trunk box, and now i am seriously sick and still on a sick bed and the
doctors say i might not last long, so i approached you to help me and claim this money and donating it to Charity homes

i want you to stand as a business associate of my late husband and claim
that trunk box with the security finance company because i am not willing
to allowed this wicked people lay their filty hands on that money, i want this money to be donated at Charity homes.i want you to donat much of this money to humanitarian activities.

though they have succeeded in confiscating everything from me, but that trunk
box still remains a secret to them, i cannot move around to do anything
anymore, so i don't know if you can be of help to me and to the needed once.

May the lord be with you all for your understanding
Sincerely Yours,
Mrs.Joy Kojo
