"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am Harold Paisner, member of International Bar Association; British Baltic Lawyers Association; Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) and President of the Foreign Investment Commission.

I was the Personal Attorney to late David Hermance, a national of your country, who was involved plane crash of July 2005, with his wife and his two daughters. David Hermance, 59, an executive of Toyota Automobiles here in the UK, died alongside his family when the engine of his small plane evidently stopped working and he crashed into the sea off the coast of California.

I am contacting you for assistance in retrieving some fund deposited in one of my late clients account valued at about Eight Million, Six Hundred and Forty Two Thousand British Pounds Sterling before it is confiscated or declared unserviceable by the finance house where these huge amount was deposited, since his wife and kids whom are supposed to inherit the fund were also involved in the air-crash and it is my duty to take responsibility for administering the whole estate but I have been unsuccessful in locating any of my client’s relatives.

Therefore, I now seek your hand in co-operation, to present you as the next of kin to my deceased client so you can claim this fund in your name for our mutual benefit. Upon my receipt of your positive response, I shall brief your more on the necessary modalities. For your assistance, I will compensate you with 35% of the total sum. 50% will be for me, and 15% will be set aside to offset all incidental expenses that might be incurred in the course of this transaction. E.g. phone call, payment of tax if so required by your government, etc.
