"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I prayed over it that God should direct me to a trust worthy and God fearing partner such as yourself who will help me to invest this money in a good business. For this will permit me to go into business relationship with you, since I have made up my mind to do this money transfer with you. My name is Monica Benjack the only daughter of late Mr.Benjack who was a Cocoa and Gold marchant in Abidjan Cote d'Ivoire.My Father was poisoned to death by his business associate on one of their business outings in Accra Ghana,on 19th Oct 2002. And before the death of my father on the 29th November 2002 in a private hospital here in Abidjan. He sincerely called me on his bed side and told me that he had a sum of USD$4 million dollars cash. (Four Million United States Dollars) which he deposited through Bank here in Abidjan.
