"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.

Attn: Sir/Madam

Firstly, I must apologize if my mode of contacting you does not suit you and I will also like you to indicate your wiliness in this business proposal, my main reasons of contacting you was that you bears same last name with my late client and that will automatic bring you as the real relative before the Bank and the management and to meet up with their given deadline.
I am writing you this mail to solicit for your full support and co-operation to carry out this confidential opportunity in my chamber, after going through your contact info/ details I decided to write to seek your assistance in concluding a mutual transaction of this kind as stated below.

A Late foreigner client of mine who died with his entire family in a plane crash on the 25th July 2001, leaving a huge amount of money worth millions of united state dollars in account with a BANK, without the knowledge of his relative as he is the only child of his parents, for the past 6 years and some months this account has remain dormant without any body applying for claims of the money through me, as his appointed Attorney, his property must be perfected by me since then none of his extended relatives has the pre- knowledge of this deposited money and I could not be able to locate them to come over for the claim.

I have been expecting his relatives and also written his Country Embassy here in Ghana two year ago to come over and claim his money with my helping hand as I being his Personal Lawyer and also promised to release to them some vital deposit documents that was kept in his file with my Chamber, Unfortunately, neither the Embassy nor the relation has appeared to put up a claim through my Chambers and I as his attorney cannot lay any claim without the help of a next of kin.

Due to their failure to Apply for the claims, I now decided to seek your support to apply with your names as the relative and have the fund transferred to your account for sharing and Investments.

To claim this money must required the assistance of a trusted foreigner like you, because it is only a foreigner that can stand to apply and succeed as the bonfire next of kin to my client.

Based on the perceived possibility of not being able to locate his relatives.
According to my contact person in charge of my late client's account, he secretly informed me of the arrangement, that the management under the influence of their newly appointed Chairman and the board of directors are now making arrangements for the funds to be declared unclaimed and channeled to an unknown account for their selves interest,if I being his Attorney fail to present any of his relative to them for claim, it is based on this that I am contacting you to stand as the relative/next-of-kin, so that the funds will be released and paid into your account as the beneficiary to the deceased estates.

Please, bear it in mind that the bank cannot release this money to me direct unless somebody applies as the next of kin or his relation and some of the document concerning deposit records of my late client is in my custody that is why I contacted you for us to join hands together and get this money out from the bank for our personal consumption, because according the Law of our banking guidelines, it indicate that if such money remained unclaimed for a period of four to five years, it would be transfer into the bank’s treasury account as unclaimed fund.
Upon your positive responds to this request, I will send you an application FORM of required information for you, which you will fill and send to the bank for claims and approval as the next of kin and confide beneficiary of this huge amount of money.
Finally, I assure you there is no risk attached to this transaction; every thing depends on both of us as all the documents that will enable you get the funds have been carefully worked out as I have secured documents from the different offices concerned for the smooth transfer of the fund to your nominated account.
It has been agreed that you will be compensated with 30% of the total funds, while I keep 60% as my share and 10% is to be set aside for both local and international expenses that might be incurred in actualizing this transaction, also have it in your that upon the conclusion of the transaction, every related documents involved will be destroyed from the both parties.
You are advised to send reply to my official E-mail address as stated here below and do also call me on phone for more direction.
