"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Victoria Williams Johnson

Dearest Beloved, I am Mrs. Victoria Williams Johnson from Sierra Leone. I was married to Late Chief Williams Johnson and he was a contractor with the government of Cote D'Ivoire and he also was exporting cocoa, café, before he died after few days in the hospital.
When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $12.5 Million with a Bank in Cote D’ ivory. Presently this money is still in the custody of the Bank here in Cote D' Ivory. My Doctor told me that it is very likely I will die within the next 3 to 6 months due to A Blood cancer {LUCAMIA}. Now, I have decided to donate the money for charity to you since I have only a child to inherit it and it better I do not die leaving the money here without it reaching the poor and the less privileged ones in the society.
As soon as I receive your reply I shall tell my bank to transfer the money to you.
Thanks and God bless you. Mrs. Victoria Williams Johnson
