Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

The Payment was made with an Ecobank cheque,which I personally cleared nfortunately,uptill this moment no one has come as his relation for his deposit with us, before he died was a Contractor with Nigerian Mobil Oil& Gas Consult,and Nigerian Ports authority also Exxon Mobil Ghana Ltd) in Accra Ghana,., I have all the details.I am writing you so that we can work together to remite this amount of money into your own private and personal account.I will present you to my bank as the Beneficiary/next of kin to the deceased, hence the depositor is a foreigner and has no trace to be found after several attempts.
